Meet the Director
Mrs. Sara Webb was born in Connecticut, where she began playing the flute in fifth grade. After moving to Georgia in 2006, Ms. Knapp began discovering her deep love for music. She participated in numerous ensembles, including a church orchestra and praise band, honor bands throughout the Southeast, marching band, small ensembles, and the Macon-Mercer Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Mrs. Webb graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University in 2016, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Music Education from Florida State University. During her time at KSU, she studied flute with Mr. Robert Cronin and Ms. Christina Smith. She participated in numerous ensembles, including the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, “The Marching Owls”, and various small ensembles. Mrs. Webb has actively taught throughout the Metro-Atlanta area with various high school bands, as well as served as an intern with the Youth Bands of Atlanta. Mrs. Webb is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music Educators Association, Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society, and is the Founding President of the Iota Psi Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma National Band Service Sorority. She also plays with the Northwest Georgia Winds, a community band based out of Rome.
Mrs. Webb lives in Calhoun with her husband, Chris, and their two dogs, Ellie and Charlie.
